At Saint Francis Healthcare, you can take comfort in knowing that we offer a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), where we can provide high-level care for premature and critically ill babies. Babies that need to go to the NICU are usually admitted within the first 24 hours after their birth, typically because they are born prematurely, show signs of a complication in the first few days of life or have difficulty during their delivery.
Should your baby need intensive care, our neonatologists are on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to provide advanced care. Our compassionate, highly skilled NICU staff also includes respiratory therapists, physical therapists and assistance from social workers.
